about

“Another collection of songs in a continuing series of records recorded at my family camp in a rural area of Iron County in the Western end of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Like those previous albums, the intent of this project was to isolate myself with a set amount of time and record as much as my inspiration allowed. What it is, is what it is. Very little editing, and practically recorded live. Unlike the previous albums, however, I mainly focused on creating pieces that incorporated more drum programming and slightly less processing than I usually default to. I also chose to simplify my gear this time around; a very small barrage of analog synths, one iPad, one laptop, and one digital multi-effect unit. To me, in retrospect, these songs capture the feel of the moment in which they were recorded - the beauty of the waning days of autumn, transition, and the feeling that something that is here today might not be here tomorrow.”
